Reiki is a complementary health approach in which practitioners place their hands lightly on or just above a person, with the goal of directing energy to help facilitate the person’s own healing responses.
Research studies indicate that people who receive Reiki reported the following:
· Increased relaxation.
· Assistance in the body’s natural healing processes.
· Relieves and/or reduces pain.
· Improves emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
· Anecdotal evidence suggests that Reiki may also induce deep relaxation, help
people cope with difficulties, relive emotional stress, and improve overall well-
being.
Guided Imagery is a relaxation technique that involves focusing on a positive mental image or scene. It is a therapeutic process that facilitates working with the power of the imagination to positively affect mental attitude and potentiate positive outcomes. Guided imagery works to elicit the body’s natural relaxation response and reduce stress.
Research studies suggest guided imagery may have the following benefits:
· Alleviate stress.
· Relieves and/or reduces pain.
· Reduces anxiety.
· Helps with quitting smoking.
· Decreases depression symptoms.
· Improves quality of sleep
Integrative Imagery takes the therapeutic process to an even deeper level by eliciting and working with a person’s own images, both positive and negative. This process is typically facilitated by a practitioner, guiding the person to recall an image for something, then directly engaging with this image, often in dialogue. For example, an image of healing is elicited. Then by communicating with this image, one may uncover what is needed to heal. This process is somewhat like conscious dreaming in that we can communicate and interact with symbolic representations of our inner self and glean information.
We incorporate breathwork techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing into the meditation practice. Diaphragmatic breathing is a deep breathing exercise that fully engages the diaphragm, an important muscle that enables you to breathe. It is the basis for many meditation and relaxation techniques.

· Lower your heart rate and blood pressure.

pulmonary disease (COPD).
Meditation is a practice of focused concentration. Its purpose is to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth. Meditation is an important complementary therapy for treatment and prevention of stress-related conditions.
· Improves immune function.
